We thatch to Historic Environment Scotland Listed building standards and we offer more modern thatched roof finishes depending on your requirements, if the building is not a Listed Building.
We thatch using traditional materials such as Marram Grass and Straw and we can carry out thatching using Reed also.
We carry out stonework repairs and maintenance using traditional lime mortar and materials to Historic Environment Scotland Listed building standards.

Having grown up in a traditional B Listed thatched cottage in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland I have been involved in all aspects of traditional thatching and stone work repairs from a very young age.
I was very fortunate to have learned these traditional skills from family members and local Islanders whom had learned their craft from skilled craftspeople going back several generations.
We are very proud to continue these very rare traditions today that have stood the test of time and are in keeping with the environment.
